Just Outside Caritas, Friday Evening
Dec. 31st, 2021 07:33 amWill had every intention of attending the New Year's party, he really did. It's just that the second he stepped through the door and saw the crowd all dressed up...
"I gotta pick up my tux," he reminded his soon-to-be wife.
"Remember to make sure the sleeves aren't too long!" Natalie called after him as he headed out the door.
*
"You don't know me," Tim insisted.
"I know you. We grew up together. Please don't." It took everything he had to keep his voice from shaking as he stared down the barrel of that gun.
Then, the loud crack of a gunshot and the feeling of Tim's blood spattering across him. The half-hysterical thought that it was a good thing he'd decided not to go the rental route after all, he was pretty sure the deposit wouldn't have covered blood removal.
He backpedaled out of the bar as fast as he could, practically tripping over his own feet. He scrambled out of the way, collapsing on the ground with his back against the building wall, and pulled his knees up to his chest, breaths coming in rapid and shallow.
[ooc: for someone in particular!]
